Congratulations to our dear CEO and Founder – A2 Design Lab, Augusto Ayo for being featured in CNN Philippines’s morning show “NEW DAY“. This recognition highlights his incredible work and the success of the Lagim Card Game, a project that continues to captivate audiences with its unique concept and design.
It was only just the early months of 2020 when we started the creation of the popular Filipino folklore and mythology-inspired card game we all know today as the Lagim Card Game.Despite the challenges of that year, this project became a platform to celebrate local culture and creativity. Augusto Ayo’s leadership and vision have inspired the Fiction Minds team to promote original Filipino content and storytelling.
Lagim Card Game aims to bridge the gap between generations by means of storytelling and engaging interactions while playing the game with family and friends. The game has gained widespread recognition for its cultural significance and innovative design.
The art style of Lagim is heavily inspired by the merge of gothic, medieval art, and folk art. The craftsmanship of the cards along with the physical objects of the game – dark soul coins and soul coins truly evoke the ethnic symbolism and imagery prominent in local folklore. The overall design and look of Lagim aims to be not just a common game but an art piece or collection which you can appreciate even if you are not playing.
